			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A few months ago, Elisa contacted me about doing a promotional film for her photography business and I could not have been more excited! One of the biggest things I love about cinema is being able to tell stories and I always find it fascinating to hear why people love what they do and how they started. You also get that raw energy and emotion thats so hard to present through text. Elisa and Edward had a wonderful group of past clients and other vendors to help tell the story of her brand and her unique look (lots of film awesomeness).We shot most of the film at Pippin Hill Vineyards, which has the most amazing evening light ever and the absolutely perfect bridal suite with beautiful soft light (we shot the interview there). <p style="text-align: left;">While I don&#8217;t usually put technical details in blog posts, I figured I would here as we are using some sweet new tools. The interview was filmed with the Sony FS100, which is our lovely new ceremony/interview camera, and Leica R primes. The Leica glass is completely amazing and razor sharp (the R mount is compatible with the 5D Mark II as well and is less expensive than M mount since its not made anymore). All the other sequences were filmed with the Canon 1D Mark IV, which we purchased earlier this year. Its better suited for video, has a very similar look to the Mark II, and just absolutely rocks. I use it almost exclusively with a Manfrotto monopod and the 24/35/50/135 set of Canon L Primes. All the tracking sequences were shot with a 5D Mark II and a 24mm 1.4 with the Cinevate Atlas 30 slider and a Steadicam Flyer LE. Everything was edited together in Final Cut Pro and graded in Color.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In late September, I had an amazing opportunity to fly out to Little Rock, Arkansas for a few days to shoot commercials for <a href="http://robersonsfinejewelry.com/" target="_blank">Roberson&#8217;s Fine Jewelry</a>. The creative team at <a href="http://robersonsfinejewelry.com/" target="_blank">Roberson&#8217;s Fine Jewelry</a> is always amazing to work with and it was neat to finally meet everyone at their fabulous store in Little Rock. For this set of commercials, we decided to focus more on the in store experience as opposed to the <a href="http://www.joshgooden.com/blog/2010/01/robersons-fine-jewelry-wedding-spot-30-seconds/" target="_blank">highly successful concept based spots</a> we shot earlier this year in Virginia. The goal with the following commercials was really to give a sense of the atmosphere and helpful staff that make up the experience of the store.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: center;">This past weekend, I directed a few commercials for a popular jewelry store in Little Rock, Arkansas. While I cannot reveal the company yet, the commercials are based around emotion and the special moments that we all cherish. I look forward to sharing the final commercials with you later this week.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">For you filmmakers out there, the spots were shot using high end cameras capable of shooting high resolution stills and the highest tier of HD video. This concept brings a new level of quality and distinction, which was previously only seen by big budget productions. I invite you to see my &#8220;<a href="http://www.joshgooden.com/blog/2009/12/senior-spotlight-emily/" target="_blank">Senior Fusion</a>&#8221; concept that takes senior portraits to the next level and hopefully it will inspire you to create your own &#8220;fusion&#8221; productions.</p>

<p>Objective: Film a promotional film for Chocolate Occasions and virally market it on <a style="outline-style: none; outline-width: initial; outline-color: initial; color: #ec7b02; text-decoration: underline; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" href="http://www.wheretogetengaged.com/" target="_blank">WhereToGetEngaged.com</a> which is a social networking platform for the wedding and engagement industry. <br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" /><br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" />This is the promotional film I wrote, shot, and edited for the incredible belgian chocolate shop, “Chocolate Occasions.” <br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" /><br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" />The incredible thing is that I planned it out completely by using Cinemek’s “Hitchcock” on my iphone. I used the Zeiss 28mm 2.8, 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.4, and the Nikkor 105mm 2.8. Zacuto baseplates, rods, and supports were also used. <br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" /><br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" />All tracking shots were conducted using an Indi-Slider.</p>
