Sean + Shannon // Wedding | Richmond, Virginia

A few weeks ago, I finally was able to meet Shannon & Sean for their gorgeous wedding at The Boathouse at Rockett’s Landing in Richmond, Virginia. While we did not have a chance to meet before the wedding, it was so neat to experience their love for one another on the wedding day. From their nervousness while getting ready to the anticipation of seeing each other for the first time as Shannon walked down the aisle, their love was felt by all when they were finally together. My favorite part is always the letters passed before the ceremony, and seeing both Shannon & Sean’s fears disappear as they smiled or laughed throughout every sentence. As a photographer, its so rewarding to see a small slice of all the little experiences a couple has together, and how that forms a relationship that will last a lifetime. Its just amazing. Rockett’s landing was the perfect backdrop for the wedding day with an incredible view of downtown Richmond, Virginia & there were plenty of fun spots for portraits by the river. Dee and Jen of Mcbride Events helped keep everything on track and were a pleasure to work with as always. My awesome assistant and second shooter Jen Jar was there to help capture the day and load film, so a huge thanks to her. After some amazing pictures at sunset, we headed into the lovely reception space in the boathouse and the awesome band, Hip Shack, got the party started. I hope you enjoy some of my favorite images from Sean + Shannon’s lovely wedding below!
