In late June, I had the opportunity to capture Kait + Tom’s gorgeous wedding at Spring Meadows Farm in Mt. Solon, Virginia. When I first met Kait in 2009 and heard the story of how she met her Australian lover Tom, I knew it would be amazing to photograph. In early 2010, Kait moved to Australia with Tom and they flew back to Virginia a few days before for the wedding.  They incorporated a lot of fun little travel touches with their details, which I loved and there were a ton of great moments throughout the day. I hope you enjoy a small glimpse of their wedding!

Debra Vaughan - As an Australian friend of Jill & family, it gave me goosebumps to see the art & heart by which Kait & Tom’s joyful day was celebrated. Each frame put a glow around those precious details – the groom’s solemnity as he does his tie, the capable re-tie, sunglasses’ stem held in mouth as Hera relieves the young groomsman’s neck pinch, the peach pink radiance of sky washing over the bride & her handmaidens in a perfect harmony of love & colour with their charming dresses, the hugs, the magic beans.
The artistry of the photos is a window to the creativity & pleasure of Kait & Tom’s marriage, & the weaving together of two families’ & countries’ in their new life. How exciting! Blesséd be!

Greg - Your photographer seems to have captured the magic of what was obviously a beautiful and special day. I particularly liked the photo of the mother helping her boy with his tie. That’s an iconic image!
