A storyteller at heart, Josh Gooden has always been encouraged by distant places and those who inhabit them.
Since the very beginning, Josh has been a fixture of first-class vendor teams at luxurious events. Quietly in pursuit of moments only an experienced artist knows how to find, Josh blends into the backdrop of every gathering, where his creativity for capturing storybook elements flourishes. A falling leaf in autumn, a tender unseen glance, or peaceful birdsong at daybreak, his expert eye is always in search of the often overlooked particulars that complete his characteristic films.
Influenced by European romanticism and the customs of outlying continents, his curiosity for culture has been a fundamental influence on his artistry from the outset. Today, he instinctively suffuses old world nostalgia in the stories he documents, seamlessly blending each present day situation with an ethereal elegance.

Called to be creative, Serena Jae brings unsurpassed inspiration to the Josh Gooden Cinema partnership.
Her artistic nature deepens the couple’s understanding of abiding yet purposeful imagery, along with a quiet energy for creating magic even in the most challenging circumstances. At elaborate affairs, she weaves through the crowd undetected, poised for a moment of mirth or a hastened happy tear concealed from view. While at intimate gatherings her demeanor is genteel yet nudging should an opportunity to capture something special arise.
A direct result of over a decade of experience behind the camera of her own wedding photography business, Serena is a seasoned creative, familiar with all facets of capturing both stills and motion films. Beneath her seemingly demure surface is a calm yet welcomed assertiveness that ensures Josh Gooden Cinema creates a complete and meaningful story at each event. With a detail-oriented approach, from searching for the perfect musical accompaniment to ensuring every sequence is curated with intent, she is a visionary throughout the entire process.
